The long days of summer are coming to an end, so enjoy the longer nights, clearer skies and hopefully cooler weather! It’s back to school time! Here’s hoping all of our students have a great year. We’d also like to salute the efforts of all working people this Labor Day, and we hope you enjoy your holiday to the fullest.

Community Events
We are working on something GREAT for September, so keep checking back for more details. Details will also be e-mailed to all residents.

Property Passes are HERE! Please stop by the Leasing Office to pick up your Property Pass in order to have access to all of The Winsted amenities including the pools, fitness, business and laundry center, sand volleyball and basketball court.

Say thank you to your neighbor on September 28th, which is National Good Neighbor Day.

9/11: We Remember. September 11th is officially designated as Patriot Day in memory of the nearly 3,000 who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001 as a result of the deadly terrorist attacks. To honor those who died, the American flag is displayed prominently and flown at half-staff; Americans are also asked to observe a moment of silence at 8:46am, which marked the first plane crash. We honor the memory of those we’ve lost and hope you will also honor the many who died on this tragic day.

National Night Out will take place on October 5th in Texas. The 27th annual safety event has become a neighborhood gathering with fun and food combined with crime prevention. Look for more information on the City of Irving website or check back closer to October for community events.

Pest control is here every Monday. Please contact the office or submit an online service request if you need to request service for your home.

Welcome home to all of our new residents. We hope you will enjoy calling our community your home. Please let us know how we can make your stay with us more comfortable. We would love to help!

Fall’s bounty means many of the fruits and veggies at your grocers are at their peak. Try some fresh veggies such as: broccoli, carrots, squash and peppers. Or, have a sweet but healthy snack such as: grapes, pears, raspberries, blackberries, and even blueberries, which are rounding out their season.

Every month we update our bulletin board and send out a newsletter via e-mail to pass on important news. If you have anything you would like to share with your neighbors, drop off the news via e-mail to thewinsted@lincolnapts.com or bring your written request to the office before the 15th of every month and we will add it to our monthly newsletter and bulletin board.

Helpful Hints to Pay Rent Online
1. Make sure you have called the office at 972-444-9494 to get your Resident ID Number.
2. Log on to www.winstedapts.com and click on Pay Rent Online.
3. Enter The Winsted in Valley Ranch for Property Name.
4. Select the The Winsted in Valley Ranch.
5. Click on the ENROLL link.
6. Enter first and last name of primary lease holder and e-mail address. Enter Resident ID Number where it asks for Account Number. Leave the Social Security Number blank. Finally, enter your Apartment Number.
7. If all the information you have entered is correct it will locate your account.
8. Click on "this is my account" and follow the directions to change your password to a password of your choice. Your user name will be your e-mail address.

Once these steps are completed you are set up to pay online! Please call the office should you have any questions or concerns. Our staff will be happy to help.
